Friday Afternoon Sport

​​Friday afternoon sport including Interschool Sport 

• All students in Year 5 and Year 6 participate in Friday afternoon sport.
• There is wide range of sports available, most of these are played in a competitive forum against other schools.
• These include:
  Term 2: soccer, OzTag girls, rugby league, netball, AFL
  Term 3: cricket, basketball, OzTag boys, softball, touch
• Tennis and SASS (Sport at School Shines) are also part of this program but are not played in a competition with other schools
• Students will participate in one sport option each season
• Trials for competitive interschool sporting teams are scheduled to begin at the end of Term 1 and in Term 3, during school time
• Students will be selected for teams based on trials and numbers required for the sporting team.
• Training is before school or during breaks, once a week, with the coach.
• Students wear school uniform to school and get changed into sporting uniform at first break.
• Information for parents/caregivers on the location and time of games will be in the newsletter each week.
• At times, last minute changes may occur due to weather or other factors an​d we try to inform our community as soon as possible.
