We run these sessions every year in so we can work in partnership with you to fully realise our Caningeraba State School Vision of raising happy, healthy confident 21st Century Learners. As we outlined in the session, happy, can be interchanged with resilient, and through the teaching and learning of social emotional skills we can build this capacity for resilience.
We will continue our work here in social emotional learning through offering more interactive teaching and learning sessions with parents. All parents surveyed yesterday indicated that would like to attend and be more involved in this curriculum to better support their child.
So upcoming parent/carer sessions will be;
Term 2 – Thursday 22 May 3pm - Getting Focussed - brain, mindful awareness and the core practice as well as learning about Sharpening our Senses – listening, smelling, tasting, hearing and touch.
Term 3 - Thursday 14 August 3pm - It All About Attitude - perspectives, optimism and appreciating
Term 4 – Thursday 5 November 3pm - Taking Mindful Action in the World - expressing gratitude and performing acts of kindness.
Supervision of children is available for these sessions so you can fully immerse yourself in the learning.
We look forward to this partnership together!
