We're delighted to share some exciting news about our school gardens! On Monday, December 2nd, we unveiled a very special additionโ€”a native bee hive! 🐝

The event featured an engaging talk by Syd the Beekeeper, who shared fascinating insights into the vital role bees play in our world. This wonderful addition was made possible thanks to the generosity of two Caningeraba families:

  • 🌼 The S. Family (Imogen in year 6 and Zaidyn in year 4)
  • 🌼 The McK. Family (Evie in year 6)

Special thanks also go to Mrs Balson's class 3R our dedicated Garden Guardians, and Mrs. B's class 4P, Zaidyn's class, for being part of this exciting moment.

Our gardens have been a labor of love, with Mrs Balson's class 3R and the P&C working hard throughout Term 4 to cultivate them. Unfortunately, some produce has been picked and taken, which impacts our goal of providing fresh ingredients for the Tuckshop to benefit the school community.

To ensure the safety of our native bees and the continued growth of our gardens, we kindly ask for your support in reinforcing the following reminders:

👉 Look but don't touch the hive or surrounding areas.

👉 Refrain from picking or handling any produce in the garden.
