Student Leadership Investiture
We had our Leadership Investiture and our Year 6 students made their pledge as leaders of school in 2026. Mrs Michelle Flynn, Principal, spoke to our students about leadership and emphasised to them that leadership can be at any age and used the role model of Jessica Watson who sailed solo around the world at 16.
Our badged school leaders for 2026 are
| School Captains | Sonny G | Scarlett C |
| Vice Captains | Walker B | Sienna H |
| Student Council President | Nova N | |
| Student Councillors | Mikayla C Zac D Maverick D Hannah L Elsie S
| |
| Acacia Captains | Emmy P | Mason D |
| Banksia Captains | Lace G | Nixon N |
| Bluegum Captains | Zahli B | Kaiya H |
| Eucalypt Captains | Bentley L | Flynn C |
| Instrumental Music Captains | Emmet W | Nylah M |
| Indigenous Leaders | Beau W | Harper K |
Our Caningeraba State School Foundation Principal, Mr Peter Hulett and former deputy Principal Mrs Hilary Hulett, each year award a bursary worth $500 to students who embody our school motto, Success through Challenge. This year our very worthy recipients are Beau W and Harper K.
Aunty Joyce is a very important part of our school community and we are always honoured when she comes to our school to be part of our celebrations. It was lovely to have her here to present the Indigenous Leaders badges along with Kieran Chilcott CEO of Kalwun. We are also very pleased to have our special guests of Hermann Vorster MP for Burleigh, Councillor Nick Marshall Division 12 and Mrs Michelle Elliot P and C President.
We believe our Year 6 students are leaders, whether they are wearing a badge or not. They all make the pledge and we look forward to a great year with them.
