As part of their recent unit which focused on sustainability, our Year 2 students learned all about the important role bees play in keeping our environment healthy.
Sadly, bee numbers have been declining in many parts of the world, so it is more important than ever to protect them.
In response, the students designed and built Bee Resorts which are more than simply homes for our native bees. They're places where they can stop to rest, find food and shelter, and safely go about their important work.
By learning about sustainability in such a hands-on way, our Year 2 students discovered that even small actions can make a big difference. Their Bee Resorts are a wonderful reminder that when we care for the natural world, we help create a healthier future for everyone.
