This week was an exciting time for our Year 3
students when, as part of their learning in Earth and Space Sciences, they
engaged in real world scientific experiences with Chemical and
Process Engineer and Caningeraba parent, Milly Gilliland.
Students discovered
the vital role rocks and minerals play as Earth’s resources and learned how
these natural treasures are transformed into everyday items we use. With
magnifying glasses in hand, they took a closer look at the observable
properties of various rocks and minerals, brains ticking over with wonderfully
curious questions for Milly to answer.
